Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty born October 1st 1995 in Berkeley California. She is best known as an actress, having appeared in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) as well as Chrissie Mair's Content House.

Asia Argento, born in Rome to a family which comprises directors and actors pursued both professions. The actress made her debut when she was just nine in the film of Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni (1985). She had a leading role in the film as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo, 1989. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. The following year she played Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido was the film that really launched Asia's professional profession. Asia was able to transition between roles for young girls to complex and mature roles. The film was a hit during the Cannes International Film Festival. The film, Trauma (1993) it was the first time she was the first to work with her father, famed Italian film director Dario Argento (her mother is among Argento's favorite actresses, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl who is in search for her parents' killer. The Phantom of the Opera marks her third collaboration alongside her dad. The others are Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a Nozze showcased Asia's absorbed way of playing. In 1993, she portrayed Arianna in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista. It was a character which was so complicated that she received the David di Donatello award for the best actress. Patrice Chereau directed her in Queen Margot the film, in which she was the main character. The collaboration she had together with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another award, this time the David di Donatello as well as Grolla of Oro. In 1994, Asia decided to try her hand at directing and turned out two short films: Prospettive In 1996 she produced a documentary about her father, and in 1998, she directed a documentary about the cult director Abel Ferrara, Abel/Asia (1998) that won an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia's debut feature film is Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999. In it, she played the role of lead actress and wrote the screenplay. In May 2000, the movie premiered in Italy as well as around the world. In Brooklyn, New York it received an award from the Williamsburg film festival. After directing several music videos the actress gave birth to her first daughter, Anna Lou. In 2002, she was in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action film featuring Vin Diesel. Asian's short stories have been published in some of the most prestigious magazines.
